I remember, in conversation, hearing someone tell someone else how they were feeling about something and the other person replied, "you shouldn't feel that way....". The truth is that we all feel what we feel even if we don't want to feel a certain way. So this song idea was inspired by that conversation I overheard. I still sometimes chastise myself for feeling things I wish I wouldn't feel but c'est la vie, as they say in French.
